Brendan completed three fellowships in Radiology, having graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 1985. Subsequently, Brendan completed advanced fellowships in Thoracic Radiology, focusing on interstitial lung disease, and Musculoskeletal Radiology and Intervention at Vancouver General Hospital in 1991-1993.
On return to Perth, Brendan commenced appointments as a consultant radiologist at Royal Perth Hospital and as a specialist radiologist at SKG Radiology, acquiring experience in a broad range of investigations and procedures in addition to his specialist interests.
In 2006, Brendan moved to Paris, France and completed a Cardiovascular Imaging fellowship in 2008 at the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital with particular interest in Cardiac MRI and Coronary CTA. Brendan was awarded the 2006 RANZCR Rouse Fellowship for this purpose.
Brendan joined Envision in May 2009 and took over the position of CEO in October 2011.
Brendan has been active in College affairs, continues to have a research interest in interstitial lung disease and is an author of at least 25 peer-reviewed articles.
