About
Dr Ranieri Falcao Aguiar has been a radiologist at Envision Medical Imaging since 2021. He completed his radiology training in Sao Paulo University Hospital, Brazil, moving to Perth in 2014.
During early training, his interest in musculoskeletal imaging grew stronger after an observership at Balgrist University Hospital in Switzerland, eventually leading to fellowship training in Sao Paulo and Perth. Ranieri is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and a member of the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group.
His practice extends beyond diagnostic radiology to include a variety of imaging-guided interventions. He has expertise in ultrasound-guided procedures such as minimally invasive release for carpal tunnel syndrome, percutaneous needle releases for trigger digits, De Quervain s tenosynovitis and Dupuytren's contracture, as well as ultrasound-guided removal of foreign bodies and Implanon. Ranieri also performs imaging-guided radiofrequency nerve ablations for pain management.
