Michael graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1999. After gaining skills in a wide range of specialties ranging from General Practice to Cardiology to Anaesthetics, Michael completed a Radiology Research Fellowship position at Royal Perth Hospital in 2004 and began his formal Radiology Training in 2005.
Michael has a special interest in Paediatric and Musculoskeletal Imaging. He has completed a Paediatric Imaging Fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and has gained subspecialty skills in all aspects of Paediatric Imaging. He has also completed a Musculoskeletal imaging fellowship and combining his two areas of interest, Michael has a particular interest in all aspects of Paediatric Musculoskeletal Imaging. He is part of the sports imaging team at Envision which provides first class musculoskeletal imaging services to both adults and children.
Prior to starting at Envision Medical Imaging, Michael worked as a Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Royal Perth Hospital. He continues as a Consultant Radiologist at Perth Children’s Hospital. He is Director of Radiology Training at PCH and a Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists Part II examiner. He has multiple ongoing research projects and serves on the editorial panel for the Diagnostic Imaging Pathways project (www.imagingpathways.health.wa.gov.au) which is an educational tool used by referring clinicians to guide appropriate imaging investigations.
