Radiologist: Dr Eamon Koh
Eamon graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1994 and has worked as an Orthopaedic Surgery registrar in Perth and at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, prior to commencing training in Radiology in 2001 in Western Australia. He returned to the London in 2005, where he undertook a Fellowship in MRI and Musculoskeletal Imaging at Chelsea and Westminster, working with some of London’s leading sports imaging specialists. In 2006, he undertook further Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He returned to Australia in 2007 and has worked since then as a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist and sports imaging specialist, joining Envision Medical Imaging in 2009.
Eamon’s sub-specialist interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, musculoskeletal intervention/procedures and sports imaging. He provides imaging services for elite state and national level athletes, including the Western Australian Institute of Sports. He is also the match-day Radiologist for the Fremantle Dockers Football Club. Eamon has a particular interest in the radiologically-guided management of tendinopathy and the use of Ultrasound Tissue Characterisation in the treatment and prevention of tendon injury. He has extensive experience in the use of autologous blood and platelet rich plasma for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
